Library and Information Services in Astronomy INAF - Astronomical Observatory of Capodimonte
The LISA VII is organized by Astronomical Observatory of Capodimonte – OAC – National Institute for AstroPhysics – INAF – Library and Historical Archives Service of INAF – SBAS – and in collaboration with University of Naples “Parthenope” and the Department of Science and Technology.

Library and Information Services in Astronomy (LISA) is a series of scientific meetings for librarians and scientists that aims to provide a platform to discuss the state of the art of information maintenance, retrieval, delivery, and preservation and to learn from invited experts the directions in which our profession is moving.

LISA conferences cover such diverse topics as organization and management of books, journals, and specialized materials; electronic publishing (note that astronomy is a leader in the field); bibliographic and full text databases of astronomical literature; reports on collaborative projects.

In a rapidly changing scientific information environment, astronomy has been a forerunner. Astronomy librarians have to be adaptable and creative to meet the demands of this environment; they are familiar with the Big Data, Open Science, and many other challenges and want to look even further into the future.
